Explore the wonder of Christmas with your tiniest disciples. Choose from four different series from One Story Early Years, Awesome Animals, and Little Worship Company’s Bible Time.

1.4 Christmas

Children will hear all about the amazing events surrounding Jesus' birth and celebrate his birthday! Children will explore the stories of the prophet Isaiah, Jesus' family line, Jesus' birth and the wise men coming to worship Jesus. They will discover that Jesus coming into the world was and is a very big deal!

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. Isaiah’s Prophecy - children will learn about the prophecy that Isaiah shared so many years before Jesus was born, and how Isaiah’s prophecy comes true with Jesus’ birth.

  2. Mary and Joseph - children will learn how Mary and Joseph found out that Jesus was going to be born to Mary.

  3. Mary and Elizabeth - children will learn about Mary’s relative Elizabeth and how even the baby in her womb jumped for joy about Jesus.

  4. Jesus is Born - children will learn about the amazing things that happened around the birth of Jesus.

2.4 King of Kings

Children will learn about King Solomon and the greatest king of all, King Jesus! They will discover that Jesus is the king of kings, experience the excitement leading up to Jesus’ birthday, and learn the true message of Christmas.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. King Solomon - children will learn that King Solomon was a good and wise king who loved God, and discover that God loves them.

  2. A Message For Joseph - children will hear about Joseph’s incredible dream, and learn that God talks to people in different ways. Children will also discover that Christmas is all about Jesus!

  3. Jesus is Born - children will learn that Jesus is God’s son and that Jesus is the greatest king of all.

  4. The Wise Men - children will hear about how the wise men worshipped Jesus and discover that they can worship Jesus with what they have.

Awesome Christmas

Join some Awesome Animal friends as they share their story of what happened at the first Christmas, and help us understand why Jesus was such a special baby!

This series comprises 3 lessons:

  1. Donkey

  2. Sheep

  3. Camel

Bible Time Christmas

Get ready to celebrate Christmas with four festive Little Worship Company Bible Times. With beautifully told stories and creative crafts, they're the perfect way to introduce the characters and themes of the Christmas story to your little worshippers.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. Mary's Story - begin to explore the events of the first Christmas by hearing Mary's story, found in Luke 1:26-38.

  2. The Wise Men - hear the story of the Wise Men who came to visit Jesus, inspired by the account found in Matthew 2:1-12.

  3. Anna and Simeon - discover the story of when Simeon and Anna met Jesus, found in Luke 2:22-38.

  4. The Baby King is Here - finish the series by hearing the Christmas story, and thinking about why Jesus' birthday is such good news for everyone!


EARLY EXPLORERS (4-8s)

Christmas is so much fun with kids! Discover two joy-filled series and two stand-alone lessons from across our curriculum brands.

Christmas!

Children will hear about the incredible way that God breaks into the world, in a way that no one expected, as a baby. Kids will discover that Jesus is Immanuel, God with us! They will learn about how Jesus fulfills the third promise to Abraham and becomes a blessing for the whole world!

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. The Messenger - kids will discover that Christmas is about Jesus because it’s when God’s promise was fulfilled by sending Jesus to be Immanuel, God with us.

  2. Born in a Barn - kids will learn that God’s third promise to Abraham was Jesus!

  3. Shepherds and Angels - kids will see that sometimes God works in wonderful and surprising ways, like when Jesus was born!

  4. The Wise Men - kids will find out that, even though there have been many kings throughout the world, there is no king like King Jesus. We can worship our King forever!

Why Do We Call It Christmas?

Children will go on an adventure from India to Indiana as Buck Denver and friends explore the history and tradition of Christmas! This amazing journey into Christmas will have your classroom singing and laughing and creating all the way through the Christmas season!

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. The Big Questions of Christmas - kids will learn where the word 'Christmas' came from and why we celebrate Jesus' birth on December 25! They will review God's promises throughout the Old Testament that a Messiah would come.

  2. Jesus’ Birth - kids will hear how the Church Calendar got the year of Jesus' birth wrong! They will meet St. Nicholas and learn how he showed his love for Jesus by giving gifts to the poor.

  3. The Origins of Hanukkah - kids will hear the story of Hanukkah and have a small group celebration!

  4. Emmanuel and the Christmas Story - kids will learn about Emmanuel - God with us - and hear the Luke 2 story shared in an incredibly memorable way.

TRAILBLAZERS (8-14s)

Dig deeper into the Christmas story with your 8-14 year olds. One Story Kids and Jr. High cover the same content in age-appropriate ways, while Big Start offers various joyful retellings of the nativity to bring the festive fun!

The One Story Kids content is mirrored in One Story Jr. High, with different activities to suit different ages.

1.4 Luke: Hearing God

Kids will look at the Christmas story and the prophecies of Isaiah hundreds of years before. This series focuses in on what it means to listen to God. Kids will discover why and how we listen to God.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. Listen - kids will learn that a prophet is a person who speaks on behalf of God (as a messenger from God). They will discover that a prophecy is something that God is going to do in the future or something unknown that is revealed to be true about the present.

  2. Purpose - kids will learn that prophets listened to God to hear his message for people; and that we listen to God to understand his heart for us and others today.

  3. Love - kids will understand that everyone hears from God in different ways, but we can all find quiet times to have room to listen.

  4. Tell - kids will discover that prophets listened to God to hear his message for people; and that we listen to God to understand his heart for us and others today.

2.4 Get Up

Kids will see how the cool things God revealed to the prophet Jeremiah about the future Rescuer came true at Jesus’ birth. Kids will discover that God shows us his never-ending love through Jesus.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. Never-ending - kids will discover that all throughout time, God speaks to his people in different ways, and he still does today!

  2. Emmanuel - kids will be reminded that Jesus is God, and that Jesus shows us God's great love for us.

  3. Worship - kids will discover that worship isn't just an ‘activity’ but a way that we connect with, celebrate, and praise God.

  4. Always - kids will learn that what God says always comes true, and that is one big reason why they can always trust him.

3.4 Kingdom

Kids will get to know the idea of God's kingdom from the book of Daniel, and shift to the book of Matthew with Jesus' birth. Kids will discover what it is to be a part of God's kingdom with Jesus as our king.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. All Nations - kids will learn that God's kingdom isn't about being from a certain country or a certain family or speaking a certain language or having a certain colour of skin - people of all nations are a part of God's kingdom.

  2. Names - kids will discover that, though God could do whatever he wants with a snap of the fingers, he chooses to work through and with people.

  3. Forever - kids will learn that regular kings on earth only get to rule for a certain amount of time, but Jesus is the king who rules forever and ever. There is no end to his kingdom!

  4. Worship - kids will discover that worship is how we direct our hearts to Jesus and Jesus' way of living. Worship is our way of uniting our heart with God's heart.

4.4 Prepare

Kids will discover how through the Old Testament, God is preparing the way for Jesus' entry into the world. This series will move from the life of the prophet Elijah to the birth of Jesus.

This series comprises 5 lessons:

  1. Needs - kids will discover that God truly cares about the needs of his people.

  2. Elijah - kids will learn that God is powerful! He prepares his people for what is to come and our hearts to receive him.

  3. Magnificat - kids will discover that God is always at work even when we don't see what he is doing.

  4. Birth - kids will learn that Jesus was born for everyone.

  5. Light - kids will be reminded of the amazing way in which Jesus enters the world, and becomes a light for us.

Waiting for Christmas

Perfect for Advent, in this series we will meet 3 couples preparing for Jesus to be born - Elizabeth & Zechariah, Mary & Joseph and Simeon & Anna. As their stories are re-told through entertaining videos, children will learn the value of hope in their lives.

This series comprises 3 lessons:

  1. Elizabeth and Zechariah - kids will learn how God sent an angel to Zechariah and told him that they were going to have a baby. They had to hope and trust in God that he would listen to their prayers.

  2. Mary and Joseph - kids will learn more about the Christmas story, focusing on Mary and Joseph’s journey to becoming parents.

  3. Simeon and Anna - kids will hear how, because of God's promise to him, Simeon was waiting for Jesus to be born and brought to the temple.

Joy To The World

This series tells the Christmas story in 3 parts and unpacks what it means to be joyful so we can bring joy to others.

This series comprises 3 lessons:

  1. Baby Jesus - kids will be invited to consider how people might have been surprised by the birth of Jesus, before being filled with joy and sharing it with others.

  2. Shepherds - kids will think about what the shepherds would have been like, and how joyful it was for them to be the first visitors to the baby Jesus.

  3. Magi - kids will hear the story of the Wise Men's journey to visit the new born King, joyfully following the star.

Extra-Ordinary Story

Explore the theme of generosity through the perspectives of the ordinary people at the centre of the Christmas story - Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds and the Wise Men.

This series comprises 4 lessons:

  1. Ordinary Mary - kids will hear how out of the blue, when Mary is living her ordinary, regular life a visit from an Angel turns her life upside down.

  2. Ordinary Joseph - kids will learn how Joseph, and ordinary carpenter, was visited by an angel telling him Mary's baby was the Son of God.

  3. Ordinary Shepherds - kids will learn that shepherds were the lowest of the low at the time of Jesus' birth, so it was amazing that God chose them to bear witness.

  4. Ordinary Star Watchers - kids will hear the story of the Wise Men and learn that it is likely they arrived when Jesus was a toddler, because they had to travel so far. They will consider the significance of the Magi's gifts.
